Research data is collected via surveys of random samples of anonymous individuals.  Surveys are conducted by independent third-party polling firms.

Important disclaimer: If you voluntarily take one of our online assessments, note that in reporting the results of your assessment, we will mention possible interpretations that have a basis in statistical research.  Any sponsors of linked research, the polling companies, as well as the individual researchers who have contributed to this site, make no claim for the validity of these suggested interpretations.  If you are unprepared to encounter interpretations that you might find objectionable, please do not proceed further.  You may prefer to examine our FAQ page before deciding whether or not to proceed.
